The University of Moratuwa, renowned for its excellence in technological education, has officially opened applications for its MSc in Artificial Intelligence 2025 – Master of Science (MSc) in Artificial Intelligence for the year 2025. This highly anticipated program is offered by the Department of Computational Mathematics under the Faculty of Information Technology and aims to equip students with cutting-edge AI knowledge and skills to meet the growing demand in the industry.
Eligibility Requirements
Prospective candidates can apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Hold an Honours Degree in Information Technology or Information Technology and Management from the University of Moratuwa.
- Hold an Honours Degree in Science or Engineering from the University of Moratuwa in a relevant field approved by the Senate.
- Hold a four-year degree from a recognized university in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (or other related fields) as approved by the Senate.
- Hold a four-year Honours Degree from a recognized university in a relevant field with at least one year of experience.
- Hold a three-year degree from a recognized university in a relevant field with at least two years of experience.
- Possess a recognized professional membership obtained through an academic route, with at least two years of experience post-membership, subject to Senate approval.
Mode of Study
The MSc in Artificial Intelligence will be conducted entirely online, making it accessible for students both locally and internationally.

- Sri Lankan Students: LKR 650,000/-
- International Students: USD 4,000/-
- Sri Lankan students residing abroad are eligible for a 20% discount from the international student fee.
- Application Fee: LKR 5,000/- or USD 35/-
