The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) at the University of Jaffna has issued a call for qualified candidates to attend walk-in interviews for the positions of Temporary Demonstrator in Human Biological Sciences and Temporary Demonstrator in Nursing.
The interviews are scheduled for March 20, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. and will be held at the Board Room of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, located on Aadiyapatham Road.
Vacancy Details and Qualifications
The university is seeking dynamic individuals who meet the following academic criteria:
- Human Biological Sciences: Open to graduates with a basic degree specializing in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), Pharmacy, or Nursing. Candidates with a specialization in Human Biological Sciences (Anatomy, Biochemistry, or Physiology) are also encouraged to apply.
- Nursing: Open to candidates possessing a BScHonours in Nursing.
Note for Recent Graduates: Candidates who have completed their final examinations and are currently awaiting results are also eligible to participate in the interview process.
Remuneration Package
Successful appointees will receive a competitive salary package in accordance with Commission Circular No. 02/2025(i) dated April 4, 2025:
- Fixed Monthly Salary: Rs. 68,145
- Monthly Deduction: Rs. 12,058 (unpaid amount as per circular)
- Additional Benefits: Standard allowances approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) will be paid in addition to the base salary.
