Applications have been officially called for the General Entrance Examination of the Sri Lanka Law College Admission 2027. Candidates can submit applications online from 9.00 a.m. on 30 March 2026 until 9.00 p.m. on 30 April 2026 via the system of the Department of Examinations Sri Lanka.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Pass the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination with two credit passes and one ordinary pass in a single sitting (or equivalent foreign qualification).
- Obtain credit passes in English and Sinhala or Tamil at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) or an equivalent recognized examination.
- Be at least 17 years of age on the closing date of applications.
Examination Structure
All eligible candidates will sit for the entrance examination scheduled to be held in Colombo in August 2026. The examination will consist of:
- General Knowledge – 1 hour
- General Intelligence – 1 hour
- Proficiency in English – 1½ hours
- Proficiency in Sinhala or Tamil – 1½ hours
Fees and Payment Process
- Examination Fee: Rs. 1,200
- Law College Fee: Rs. 12,000
The Law College fee must be deposited to a designated bank account under the Incorporated Council of Legal Education. Applicants are required to email the payment receipt before submitting the online application.

Applications must be submitted online only through the official website of the Department of Examinations Sri Lanka under the “Online Applications – Recruitment / EB Exams” section.
Authorities have emphasized that no postal applications will be accepted and candidates are advised to carefully follow all instructions provided on the website.
