The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Jaffna has opened applications for the Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education Degree Programme for the 2024/2025 academic year. The university invites eligible candidates to apply for the aptitude and practical test, a key step in the selection process.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have obtained at least three “S” grades in any three subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination 2024 and qualify in a physical fitness assessment to be considered for admission.
Selection Process
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Practical Test: Assessing physical fitness and sports ability.
- Previous Sports Achievements: Marks will be awarded for certified sports accomplishments. Candidates must submit certified copies of their highest sports achievements along with their applications.
Application Submission
Interested candidates must apply online and submit the following documents by 20th May 2025:
- Payment receipt of the application fee (Rs. 2000/-) deposited at any branch of People’s Bank (Account No. 440002410001667).
- Photocopy of the G.C.E. (A/L) 2024 result sheet.
- Certified copies of sports achievement certificates, attested by the school principal or a Justice of the Peace.
Completed applications should be sent via registered post or handed over to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna, with the envelope marked *“Application for Physical Education – 2024/2025”*.
