The Open University of Sri Lanka has announced the commencement of applications for the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management (PGDELM) – 2025/2026, an advanced programme approved by the University Grants Commission as an SLQF Level 8 qualification.
Programme Highlights
The one-year (12-month) diploma is designed to equip educators, administrators, and leaders with the knowledge and skills required for effective management in the education sector. The programme will be delivered in hybrid mode, with instruction available in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.

Fees & Payments
- Application Fee: Rs. 1,000/-
- Course Fee: Rs. 102,300/- (payable in two installments)
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree (SLQF Level 5) with at least three years’ duration and 90 course credits from a recognized university.
- Be a teacher, principal, advisor, or officer in recognized educational services, or an academic staff member of a university or teacher education institution.
- A head of an educational institution or a professional in the field of education, administration, or management.
- Any equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate.
Application Period
Applications are open from 15 September to 15 October 2025 and can only be submitted online via the official website of the Open University of Sri Lanka. Payments should be made via bank transfer or by visiting any Regional or Study Centre of the Open University.
