The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has announced the student intake for the PGD in Special Needs Education (2026/2027 Intake) academic year under its Faculty of Education.
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to:
Enhance teachers’ knowledge and understanding of Inclusive Education.
Familiarize participants with accepted theories and practices in Special Needs Education.
Develop positive attitudes and practical skills for working with children who have special needs.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification accepted by the OUSL Senate.
Be a teacher or educational officer serving in a school, university, college of education, technical college, teacher training college, NIE, or government teacher center. Principals, teacher educators, and administrative officers involved in education are also eligible to apply.
