The Sri Lanka Law College (SLLC) has officially announced the commencement of applications for the Law College Special Entrance Exam 2027 for the next academic year. This specialized pathway is designed for law graduates from recognized foreign universities who wish to qualify as Attorneys-at-Law in Sri Lanka.
Eligibility and Qualifications: Law College Special Entrance Exam 2027
Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the examination:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Age: Minimum of 17 years at the time of application.
- Educational Foundation:
- A/Levels: Two Credit Passes and an Ordinary Pass in one sitting (Sri Lankan or UK A/Levels).
- O/Levels: Credit passes in English Language and either Sinhala or Tamil.
- Degree Requirements: * An LL.B. from a recognized university in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, or New Zealand.
- OR an LL.B. from a university ranked in the Top 100 for Law by the QS World University Rankings during the candidate’s period of study.
- Legal Standing: Applicants must provide a certificate from the relevant foreign jurisdiction confirming their eligibility or permission to practice law in that country.
