The Department of Examinations has issued a critical notice for all school and private candidates appearing for the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination 2025 (2026), emphasizing the strict procedures for amending admission card details. While exams are set to begin on February 17, candidates have only a narrow window to correct errors in their documentation.
Online Amendment Process
If there are discrepancies in the subject, medium, or name printed on the admission card, candidates must act quickly to rectify them online.
- Official Portal: All amendments must be processed through the website http://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic.
- Single Opportunity: Each candidate is permitted only one attempt at a revision; no further changes will be allowed once the submission is made.
- Final Deadline: The window for corrections will close promptly at 12:00 midnight on February 10, 2026.
Critical Limitations
The Department has clarified that certain details are final and cannot be altered during the amendment period.
- Examination Centres: Under no circumstances will the Department change a candidate’s assigned examination center.
- Private Candidates: Those who have not yet received their cards by mail can download them from www.doenets.lk starting February 5, 2026, to check for necessary errors before the deadline.
Verification and Identity
Candidates are reminded that even after amendments, they must present valid identification at the exam hall, such as a National Identity Card, a valid Passport, or a valid Driving License. Using correcting fluid on official admission cards is strictly prohibited
