Diploma in Library and Information Services – 2025 – University of Peradeniya

The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Peradeniya has called for applications from qualified candidates for the Diploma in Library and Information Services – 2025. The program will be offered in Sinhala, Tamil, and English through a hybrid mode of delivery.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must fulfill one of the following criteria:

1. Passed all three subjects in the G.C.E. (A/L) examination, OR
2. Completion of NVQF Level 4 / SLQF Level 2, OR
3. Completed a foundation course in Library and Information Science (SLQF Level 2) with at least 12 years of schooling, OR
4. Possess four years of work experience in Library and Information Services with a minimum of 12 years of schooling.

Note: Applicants should also have a credit pass or above in G.C.E. (O/L) for the language of instruction they wish to follow, if it is not their mother tongue.
