The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education of the University of Peradeniya has announced that applications are now open for the Diploma in Library and Information Services, offered in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums.
The programme is designed to strengthen knowledge and competencies related to library and information management, with flexible learning opportunities through a blended mode combining physical and online sessions. The course will run for one year, primarily during weekends.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Passed all three subjects of the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination
OR - Completion of NVQF Level 4 / SLQF Level 2
OR - Completion of a foundation course in Library and Information Science equivalent to SLQF Level 2 with at least 12 years of schooling
OR - A minimum of four years’ work experience in the field of library and information services with 12 years of schooling
