Degree Applications 2025 – Ocean University

The Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCU), under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, has announced the commencement of Degree Applications 2025 academic year. Prospective students are invited to apply for a range of undergraduate programs in fisheries, marine science, oceanography, marine engineering, and more.

Programs Offered:

1. BSc (General/Hons) in Fisheries & Marine Science
   • Entry Requirements: Three “S” passes in one sitting at the G.C.E. (A/L) 2024 in the Bio Science stream.
2. BSc (General/Hons) in Oceanography
   • Entry Requirements: Three “S” passes in Physical Science/Bio Sciences streams, including Physics or Mathematics.
3. B Tech (General/Hons) in Aquaculture and Seafood Technology
   • Entry Requirements: NVQ level 8 or three “S” passes in Bio-System Technology/Bio Science stream.
4. BSc (Hons) in Marine Biotechnology
   • Entry Requirements: Three “S” passes in Bio Science/Biosystem Technology stream.
5. BSc (Hons) in Marine Engineering
   • Entry Requirements: Two “C” passes and one “S” pass (including Combined Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) in the Physical Science stream. A medical test report is mandatory.
6. BSc (General/Hons) in Maritime Transportation Management and Logistics
   • Entry Requirements: Three “S” passes in any stream.
7. BSc (General/Hons) in Coastal and Marine Resources Management
   • Entry Requirements: Three “S” passes in any stream.
8. BSc (Hons) in Maritime Affairs
   • Entry Requirements: Three “S” passes in any stream.
