University of Colombo Announces New Intake for Counseling Psychology Programs

Colombo, Sri Lanka – The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA) at the University of Colombo has officially opened applications for its diverse range of counseling psychology programs for the upcoming academic year. The application deadline is September 30th, with classes scheduled to commence in January.

The programs are structured as a four-tier progression, allowing students to advance their qualifications and expertise. The available courses and their respective entry requirements are as follows:

Certificate in Counseling Psychology
- Course Fee: Rs. 95,000
- Entry Qualifications:
  - Pass in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination OR
  - One year or more of relevant work experience.
  - Must be at least 16 years old.
Diploma in Counseling Psychology
- Course Fee: Rs. 100,000
- Entry Qualifications:
  - Pass in the GCE (A/L) Examination OR
  - A prior accredited learning program equivalent to 30 credits with accredited work experience.
Higher Diploma in Counseling Psychology
- Course Fee: Rs. 120,000
Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology
- Course Fee: Rs. 150,000
- Entry Qualifications:
  - Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in a relevant field.
  - Bachelor’s Degree with at least one year of relevant working experience.
  - A Higher/Executive Diploma with two years of relevant working experience.
