• Assist in planning, collecting, analysing and presenting research papers related to cinnamon.
• Implement laboratory and field-level testing services.
• Maintain a database for the cinnamon industry and assist in stakeholder registration.
• Implement certification programmes and assist with field audits.
• Organize training programmes and support business consulting services.

• Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
• Applicants must bear an excellent character.
• Applicants must possess adequate physical and mental fitness to serve in any part of the country.
• Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age as of 20.07.2026.
• Eligible applicants must be born on or before July 20, 2005 and on or after July 20, 1991.
• All qualifications must be fully completed by July 20, 2026.

Applicants must hold a four-year Honours Degree from a state, foreign or parliament-established university recognized by the University Grants Commission. The degree must be in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Applied Biology, Agribusiness Management, Green Technology, Export Agriculture or Plantation Management.

• Candidates who pass both written papers will be called for a general interview in merit order, equal to the number of expected vacancies.
• The interview will verify eligibility, document accuracy and physical or mental fitness for field duties.
• No marks will be awarded during the general interview.
• If candidates secure equal marks for the final vacancies, the Public Service Commission may conduct an additional selection process with an ability-assessing written test and a competency-based interview.
