Central Environmental Authority Announces Job Openings for Key Positions

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA), under the Ministry of Environment, has announced vacancies for several key positions, inviting qualified and dynamic professionals to join their team. The available posts include Procurement Officer, Planning Officer, and Assistant Legal Officer, with applications due by June 2, 2025.

Vacancy Details:

Procurement Officer (JM 1-2, Grade II) – 01 Post
- Qualifications: A UGC-recognized degree in Management, Accountancy, Commerce, or Economics, along with one year of procurement or supply management experience.
- Salary Scale: Rs. 74,010 – 124,330 per month.
Planning Officer (JM 1-2, Grade II) – 01 Post
- Qualifications: A UGC-recognized degree in Mathematics, Physical Science, Management, Environment, or Project Management, with one year of relevant experience.
- Salary Scale: Rs. 74,010 – 124,330 per month.
Assistant Legal Officer (MA 5-1, Grade III) – 05 Posts
- Qualifications: A UGC-recognized LLB degree and enrollment as an Attorney-at-Law.
- Salary Scale: Rs. 58,740 – 100,410 per month.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens aged between 22 and 45 (exemptions apply for current state employees).
Government or semi-government employees must submit applications through their respective department heads.
Proficiency in English, computer literacy, and familiarity with government regulations are advantageous.
