BA in English External Degree 2025 – Closing date extended

The External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit (EDECU) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has announced an extension for applications to its Bachelor of Arts in English (General) External Degree Programme – 2025 intake. The new deadline for submission is 29th May 2025, providing additional time for eligible candidates to apply.

Key Highlights:

✅ Eligibility:

• Minimum 3 ‘S’ passes in G.C.E. A/L (2000 onwards) OR 4 ‘S’ passes (pre-2000).
• OR Teacher Training/Diploma holders with credits in English/Linguistics.
• OR London A/L (Cambridge/Edexcel) passes or equivalent qualifications.

✅ Course Fee: Rs. 250,000 (payable in 3 installments).
✅ Medium: English
✅ Duration: 3 years (Part I, II, III)
✅ Mode: Online seminars conducted by university faculty.

1. Online Submission: Visit BA in English Application
2. Application Fee: Rs. 3,000 (Payable to People’s Bank A/C: 072010007028).
3. Upload Documents:
   • Birth certificate, educational certificates, NIC, and payment receipt (attested).
4. Post Hard Copies: Send via registered post to:Deputy Registrar, EDECU, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda.

• Selection test required (unless exempted with an A/L ‘S’ pass in English).
