The University of Colombo – Faculty of Education invites applications for the Part-Time Postgraduate Diploma in Education – PGDE (Sinhala Medium) 2025/2026, offered under SLQF Level 8. This program is aimed at providing advanced training and professional development for teachers working in government or recognized private schools across Sri Lanka.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must:
- Hold a degree from a recognized university (approved by the Faculty of Education and University Grants Commission).
- Be currently employed as teachers or in administrative roles within educational institutions.
Program Duration:
The program will span 18 months, focusing on equipping educators with the theoretical and practical knowledge needed for career advancement.

- Fee Payment: Applicants are required to make a non-refundable application fee payment of Rs. 1,500/- to the Faculty of Education’s account number 306061800004 at any People’s Bank branch.
