The Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka, operating under the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, has announced several vacancies for citizens of Sri Lanka. This statutory body, established under Legal Aid Law No. 27 of 1978, aims to provide legal assistance to those in need across the country.
Available Positions:
- Director General – HM 2-3 (01 Post)
- Qualifications: Degree and postgraduate qualification in fields such as Law, Social Science, Business Administration, HRM, Economics, or Accountancy. A minimum of 20 years of managerial experience, including 5 years in senior management.
- Age Limit: 45–55 years
- Salary Scale: Rs. 173,000 – 231,200
- Legal Officer – HM 1-1 (24 Posts in all 9 provinces) (Read Correction)
- Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of court practice as an Attorney-at-Law.
- Age Limit: 28–45 years
- Salary Scale: Rs. 91,690 – 168,240
- Management Assistant (Non-Tech) – MA 1-2 (22 Posts in 7 provinces)
- Qualifications: Six GCE O/L subjects with four credit passes, including English, Maths, and Sinhala/Tamil, plus computer literacy.
- Age Limit: 18–45 years
- Salary Scale: Rs. 46,220 – 83,390
General Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka and of excellent character.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to perform duties and willing to accept island-wide assignments.
