The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has announced the detailed timeline for the submission of research proposals and theses for the First Efficiency Bar Examination of the Sri Lanka Teacher Advisors Service.
Key Submission Timeline
Circular No. 32/2025 , issued by the Secretary of the Ministry of Education , outlines the following mandatory schedule for the efficiency bar requirement:

| Submission of Research Proposal | 2025.11.01 to 2025.11.30 (within 01 month) |
| Preparation and Submission | 2025.12.01 to 2026.11.30 (within 11 months) |
| Evaluation of Research Report | 2026.11.30 to 2027.02.28 (03 months) |
Every officer recruited or integrated into Class II of the Teacher Advisors Service must complete this Efficiency Bar requirement, as stipulated in Section 08 of the Service Constitution, before the expiry of five years from their recruitment/integration. This applies to officers integrated into Class II of the service from 2022.01.02 onwards
