Direct Recruitment to Sri Lanka Accountant’s Service

The Sri Lankan government has announced direct recruitment opportunities for the Grade III positions in the Sri Lanka Accountant’s Service, targeting professionals with recognized qualifications. The announcement was made through an extraordinary gazette notification dated May 16, 2025.

Key Details of the Recruitment

Vacancies: A maximum of 43 positions are available for qualified candidates.
Eligibility: Applicants must hold one of the following professional qualifications:
- Final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
- Final examination of a recognized accounting body in a Commonwealth country.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent qualifications.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 22 and 35 years old as of the gazette notification date.
Selection Process: A structured interview conducted by a panel approved by the Public Service Commission. Candidates may choose to be interviewed in Sinhala, Tamil, or English.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the SL 1-2025 salary scale, with a monthly remuneration ranging from Rs. 82,150 to Rs. 195,970, inclusive of increments. The appointment includes pension benefits, subject to government policies.
