The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has opened applications for its Diploma in English Language & Literature for the academic year 2025/26. The one-year programme, conducted in English, aims to enhance participants’ language proficiency and communication skills.
Entry Requirements
Prospective candidates must be over 18 years of age and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- A pass in the OUSL Certificate in Professional English (post-2012) with three “C” grades; or
- A pass in the OUSL Advanced Certificate in English for Business and Professional Communication Stage II with specified minimum grades; or
- Three passes at the G.C.E. A/L and a pass in the OUSL Selection Test; or
- Completion of an OUSL Foundation Course and a pass in the Selection Test; or
- An equivalent qualification approved by the OUSL Senate, along with a pass in the Selection Test.
The Selection Test for eligible applicants will be held on August 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN at all OUSL Regional and Study Centers across Sri Lanka.
