The Department of Archaeology, under the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, has announced an open competitive examination to recruit for key technical positions. Applications are now being accepted from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the posts of Technical Officer (Conservation Assistant) and Archaeological Photographer.
According to the gazette notification dated June 6, 2025, there are a total of 10 vacancies available:
- Technical Officer (Conservation Assistant): 07 positions
- Archaeological Photographer: 03 positions
