The University of Colombo’s Institute for Agro-Technology and Rural Sciences (UCIARS) has announced the commencement of admissions for the 17th intake of its Bachelor of Agro-Technology (Honours) program. This four-year degree, both full-time and part-time, aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in agriculture and rural sciences.
Program Highlights
- Full-time (English Medium): Applicants must have three passes in G.C.E. A/L Science or Technology stream subjects.
- Part-time (English/Sinhala Medium): Open to candidates with A/L passes in any stream and relevant agriculture experience, or O/L qualifications with field experience. Diploma (NVQ 5/6) holders may enter directly into the 2nd or 3rd year after a bridging course.
- Selection Examination: Mandatory for full-time and part-time applicants (excluding Diploma/Higher Diploma holders).
