The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Kelaniya has officially opened applications for its Bachelor of Arts (External) Degree Programme in Library and Information Science. The application window for the 2025 intake will be open from July 1, 2025, to July 15, 2025.
The one-year programme will be conducted in the Sinhala medium. Prospective candidates must meet one of the following qualifications to be eligible for admission:
- A pass in at least three subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination.
- A diploma in Library and Information Science awarded by the University of Kelaniya.
The total fee for the degree is LKR 95,000. This is structured as follows:
- Registration Fee: LKR 25,000 (non-refundable)
- Course Fee: LKR 35,000 (payable in two installments)
- Examination Fee: LKR 35,000 (payable upon application for the examination)
