The University of Sri Jayewardenepura has announced the commencement of applications for its Master of Economics 2025 – One Year Programme for the academic year 2025. The program, offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, aims to provide advanced knowledge in economics for professionals and graduates looking to enhance their expertise in the field.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications to be eligible for the program:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 90 credits.
- A 30-credit Higher Diploma along with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
- Any other qualification accepted by the university, including relevant professional experience, subject to approval.
Mode of Study
The program will be conducted in a blended format, with weekend online and physical lectures held from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Course Fees
- Full Course Fee: Rs. 250,000/- (Can be paid in installments)
- Initial Payment at Registration: Rs. 150,000/-
- Final Installment: Rs. 100,000/-
Financial assistance may be available for eligible students based on university criteria.

A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2,000 must be paid to the designated bank account (Account No: 053010005147 – People’s Bank, Gangodawila Branch). Applicants are required to upload the payment receipt along with the completed online application form.
