The Department of Examinations (DoE) has announced that all necessary arrangements have been completed for the 2025 GCE A/L Examination, which will commence tomorrow (November 10).
According to the Department, the examination will be conducted at 2,362 centers across the island and will continue until December 5.
A total of 345,525 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s exam, including 246,521 school candidates and 94,004 private candidates.
To ensure the smooth administration of the examination, 325 coordination centers and 32 divisional paper collection centers have been established nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) has joined hands with the Department of Examinations to implement a special joint program aimed at preventing disruptions caused by adverse weather conditions or natural disasters during the exam period.
The DMC stated that the initiative is designed to make sure students are not affected by unexpected weather-related challenges while attending their exams.
Students facing difficulties in attending the examination due to natural disasters are advised to contact the 117 hotline or 1911, which have been introduced by the Department of Examinations for emergency support.
DMC Director Pradeep Kodippili added that further coordination assistance can be obtained through the National Examination Emergencies Operations Unit, reachable via the following hotlines:

These numbers are active through the DMC’s Emergency Operations Room, operating throughout the examination period.
